Help Me!!! 5R110 Issues

Ok So got new solenoids and put them in the truck took It out for a spin and It drove like a dream shifted so wonderful, better than it has ever shifted. so came home grabbed the family to go out to eat. We took off as we tried to figure out where we were going to eat I noticed it would try to shift to 5th and couldn't seem to get there unless I let of the gas a little. I turned around and headed back the other direction and all of the sudden it felt like I slammed on the brakes. read the codes and It told me P0761 solenoid C stuck off and P2702 friction element out of range. then the truck wouldn't move. I shut it off and started it back up and away we went. Got it back to the house and and checked the fluid. I decided I was going to get it to do it again so took It back out got on the gas and away we went drove it a mile or two stopped checked again all still good. I headed home when I stopped at a red light the truck stalled. threw it in neutral and started it back up dropped it into drive and It died again. started it again and waited in neutral until the light turned green. When I put it in gear it engaged instantly and we started moving but it was slow go like it had no power once it started rolling it gained power quickly like it had a rocket in its butt. checked the codes and it told me solenoid D stuck closed and element D friction out of range. all this started about a month ago after I had to replace the turbo and changed the oil cooler before that everything was perfect. WTF is going on? Oh and when I got home I backed it up to the curb to try and back up on it and gave it throttle and the tires cut loose and laid rubber.this is driving me crazy.

What trans fluid did you use? The wrong fluid could cause this. So could contamination, which can cause the solenoids to get sticky.

Mercon LV. I am thinking about taking it to the ford dealer tomorrow and having them do a flush on it. I had a pinch of shaving in the bottom of the pan and I am affraid I am putting a band-aid on a broken leg.

Update to 5r110 issues. Is this electrical.

Ok so got in the truck today to got to the dealer to get the tranny flushed, jumped in started it up and it ran amazing got about a quarter of a mile and the tranny disengaged completely. Coasted to a stop and put the truck in park and all the other gears to try to get it to do anything. Finally i turned it off for a minute while i talked on the phone to the dealer to tell them i wasnt going to make the appointment. For ****s and giggles i started it back up and amazingly it went into gear. Drove up to the turn around when i took my foot off the gass it did it again. So shut it off started it a minute later and all is good and she goes shifts and all but as soon as I remove my foot from the gas it does it a third time. After the fifth time i get it home and in the spot it. Any ideas?

Pressure Solenoid 5r110

Ok so my two week pains are over and starting a whole new group of them. What I found out will surprise all I think. Truck started throwing codes P0762 P2701 then P0766 and P2702. It was shifting crazy and or starting in third. I screwed around with this and that asked all the questions with no good answers until yesterday. Now all this time no issues with the fluid it always looked good when I changed It until yesterday when a gentleman told me to change the pressure control solenoid. I dropped the pan to a crap load of grey mush in the bottom of the pan. but I pressed on and changed the Pressure control solenoid. Now the truck is back it is good and strong so just letting everyone know what was wrong with the tranny only now because of the past 5 days I think I have more issues because of the testing I was doing with it.

Would a sticky solenoid always throw codes, or could it be stuck without any codes thrown?

codes

I had felt like for a long time well I'll see about a month not really long time that my truck was starting out in the wrong gear there was lugging way down struggling to build rpm. But I had just done some work on it so I didn't know if it was a problem I may have created then I took my truck on that long trip to Florida when I came back it ran for a day fine and then the next day it was throwing codes it didn't initially through a code so I'm not sure if it will until it gets bad enough that it has to I would like to think it would

It should set a code, but I can't promise it always will.

Damage was done

Ok so the damage had been done and I was a little to late with the correct repair now I need to know rebuild mine or buy a built tranny? Opinions? Got to get this beast on the road again. Also don't move it until you fix it because all you are doing is more damage. I found out the hard way.

I learned my lesson the same way. I'm going to try to do a swap with a junkyard trans because it's the cheapest way to go. Can't afford a reman/rebuilt or new one. Good thing is that there is no core charge, so I'm going to keep my trans and try to rebuild it myself. Hopefully, I'll have it rebuilt before the junkyard trans gives out. Most people advised me to just cough up the money now and get a new remanufactured one professionally installed since it will be less headache and you get a long warranty. I'd rather tear things apart and learn from my mistakes though... For me - I have another vehicle to use, so having the truck sitting in my garage for a few weeks is not a problem.

I know this is an old thread but I'm having identical issues with solenoid C, getting code P0761 and P2702. I pulled the pan yesterday and removed solenoid C and replaced with a new one. Took for test drive and same issue. It doesn't act up till my tranny fluid warms up, then it starts acting retarded and at a stop seems like I'm starting of in 3rd gear... maybe 2nd... give it some more gas then it hops down to 1st and runs thru gears as normal... could I need a link pressure solenoid?
