Well, I've been doing a little reading on sumps and would like some feedback back on those who have a sump. I know they all basically do the same thing but there are those that have different features etc..
1. Do you like the sump you bought?
2. If not what sump would you have purchased instead?
3. Any draw backs
4. What would you do differently....i.e. installation, features.
I'm leaning to a particular one but would like some feedback on what's out there.
I got one with a split internal flange so that I didn't have to drop the tank during install. That also allowed me to get the absolute bottom of the plastic tank when I mounted it. The only thing extra I did was to seal the o-ring with some #2 (I think) permatex that was diesel proof and then let it sit for a couple of days to "dry".
Not only did if fix my 1/4 tank cavitation it makes priming the AD2 easier after draining the water separator or changing the filter.
