hey all, i have 2 C600 trucks, both running/driving that i want to put plates on. i need to show the vin number stamping on the frame in Australia as apposed to the plate, but i can't find the numbers anywhere that they are on my same year f100's, any idea's?, i've sanded the top of the frame rail on the passenger side and even looked on the front cross member of the 53 (2 of my f100's had it stamped there) but no joy
thanks

On both of my 56s the numbers are on the right frame rail under the frt cab mount. The are faint but they are there. If these truck are true Aussies might they be on the left rails?
yeh, i kept looking and after much sanding found them, these are all imports, i don't believe we got ford COE's till the late sixties, we only got the international COE's in the 50's

I wasn't fortunate enough to get the original frame with my COE, can't offer any more advice than what GJCAT offered up. That's where I'd have focused...
good on you for finding them. everything match up well? I am figuring out the re-body titling process here to get my COE cab on a late model running stock.
say scrape, where in AUS are you? We have an aussie couple RVing in our side drive this weekend as they wrap up their 50 state US tour. Perth is where they set out from... The conversation with the wife, now, is when we're going down under for a 3 month vacate.
I'd trip out over the sight of two or three mid 50 C series truck down under!

i'm in a place called Deniliquin, NSW, so about as far away from there place as i can be.the 53 numbers matched, the 56 has been stamped wrong, this truck has come from montana and still has original paint with only an engine freshen up, so it's fair to say someone was having a bad day in the stamping area.
yeh there is one or two about the place, i'de really like a biggie drive C series 56 on spiders, drop a 180 cummins into it and drag an old float or flat top with more old fords to different shows about the place, it's fair to say, there wouldn't b another
