sway bar bush replacement
Anyway, I've air chiselled the old bushes out but I cant see how to get the new ones in. The problem is that the rubber sticks out a long way on the front so you cant drive it it with a hammer and bush driver as I would a normal metallised bush.
Will they go in just by bashing them with a hammer and a suitable size piece of tube?
can anyone report on how they've done this using only DIY tools?
Conrad
Place the bushings in the sun for a while or get them pretty warm, so they become real pliable. If they are polyurethane bushings, warming them up may not help much but you could try it.
Your idea about a pipe seems like it may work, but may hurt the bushing, be careful if you do it that way.
Without knowing what it looks like its hard for me to say what else might work, just try your best.
