I'm in a time crunch and need to know how fast i could get a dashboard out of a 81 f 150, mine is butchered beyond fix.
In the salvage yard is a good one same color, but because of work schedule, i have only 45 minutes to 1 hour to get it ,or i have to wait 2 weeks before i have a day of.
Can somebody please give me the rundown what to unscrew and where ??
Easy peasy... take a Phillips head screw driver and perhaps one that has the 90 degree bend. Look for screws by the defroster vents as well as just under the front edge. There may be one on each side facing the door.
Be careful as you remove the dash pad and do not flex it.
Midnight Garage,
Why not practice by removing your broken dash pad? It will have to be removed, anyway. Save the screws as well as the ones from the junk yard. Be careful with the ones by the defroster vents. They are easy to drop sown the vents.

very simple, i work for the next 11 days straight, no day of and the salvage yard is going to move inventory around ,maybe my best friend got to go and get it for me.
And after 12h shifts i*m not in the mood wrenching on mine, which is not going anywhere.
this is why i*m in a time crunch.
But thanks to all here for the heads up, trust me it is highly appreciated
