dash pad removal

How hard is it to remove the top dash pad? I just want to replace mine with a crack free one that i just scored. The instrument and radio bezels don't have to come off do they?

I have heard that there about 12 phillips screws around the base of the windshield, and around the front of the dash pad, and then it comes right off.

Extremely easy. Not many phillips head screws to remove, just don't drop the ones by the defroster vents into the vent, and no I never had to remove the trim bezels. Nice truck by the way - I love the color combo.

Easy, screws under front edge and near windshield. Notice which locations on replacement pad.

Thanks, I love the 80-86, especially the step sides! My 350 is Dessert Tan as is the interior (When I have it repainted, I am going w/ a 2 tone theme. The yard near me seems to crush these trucks faster than I can dismantle them for smoe parts. I have a couple of complete XLT interiors and stereos, horn pads, cruis controls boxes, intermittent wipers, courtesy lights, mirrors, under hood lights, toolbox, bempers, sliding rear windows, steering wheels, electric power windows/locks wiring harnesses, etc. I have 2 new headliners factory tan and a black one. I usually get the stuff pretty cheap, but hate to see it go - I usually try to see most of it to FTE members vs ebay. If you need anything, let me know, I'll probably be able to find it, if I don't have it.

The thing that is killing me now is that I cannot find a maroon set of seat belts for my reg cab/bench seat! Enjoy
