I have a 63 step side f100 with the little 6 and three on tree.
I snapped off a lower rear shock mount.(the stud itself) Where can I get a replacement and are these simply a shoulder bolt? If I can get the stud, I have no issue with drilling out and welding back in.Edit: Figured out
Now for the big picture: This one has always sat high in the rear. I'm not sure how many leafs should be in the rear. I am thinking if a reduce to 5, I can lower it a bit and have it sit more or less level. But I have never done this, so I don't know what removing 3 leaves will do. Will this make it ride considerably rougher? Any need for angle shims at this level of lowering? What pinion angle should I be shooting for?Still need help with this part!
Thank you!

Reason: No responses yet, and fixed one problem already
All these views and no replies. This is a occasional driver and a rough one at that. I'm just trying to get it a little more usable and reliable. Certainly some of you have run into this stuff.
It's curious why this sat with such a rake. I don't mind some extra height in the back, but this one is kind of extreme. It's possible it is sitting lower in the front due to age, making it seem worse. We never load this thing at all. We will see what the 5 does, and if it is a disaster.
Thank you!
