Haven't driven the F150 much lately, but drove it last week. It was running OK before, but last week it ran terrible. Missed often, especially at low RPM and idle and got terrible mileage. New plugs and wires and Distrib cap and rotor only a few thousand miles ago. 113, 000 miles on the truck. Could it be the O2 sensor? How should I diagnose? Thanks
First pull your codes following the Haynes manual.
Check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the rail.
Clean out the IAC valve.
It could be the O2 sensor, I change mine about every 30K or every tuneup.
It could be a number of sensors, so if you don't already have a Haynes manual get one, they are very good for explaining how to test for trouble codes and the sensors.
OK Perfromed KOEO test, code given was 634, Manual Lever Position (MLP) not at expected voltage. What do I need to do next? Should I fix something before I run the KOER test? I appreciate any help. If this is transmission related, I have been having a little torque converter shudder lateley, but I know its not related to the engine missing. Thanks
