fuel pump brand

Going to replace the in-tank fuel pump on my 5.4. Is Motorcraft the best replacement or is there an aftermarket brand that gets high grades?

Stick with motorcraft. The 5.4 likes motorcraft replacement parts best. Also the easiest way to replace the fuel pump is to take the box off.

Take the box off? Seriously?

You are going to spend more time horsing around with cutting off the bolts, pulling the bed, replacing the bolts that had to be cut, etc than you would just dropping the tank. It isn't hard....

I did my fuel pump without dropping my bed, It would have been way more hassle doing it that way. maybe on a new rust free truck but not an old work one.

I am removing the bed to do rust repair work anyway, so that provides the perfect opportunity to easily replace the fuel pump.

I am hearing "MOTORCRAFT" loud and clear.
