I have to use a puller every time.

I how this helps.

If you turn on the wipers and the horn blows, you've had too much beer.
Haha. I'm gonna need less beer to follow these instructions!

That's what I thought too, but I mentioned this once before and someone called me lucky.

I would call me a bit unlucky at the moment.

I think he probably meant that you were lucky to not be dead yet. I don't think you want your steering wheel coming off while driving.

All you need is a voltmeter or test light in one hand and a beer in the other and start checking wires.

Wow, it's getting close to.......

Ha. Well, the steering wheel is definitely on there good. Though I guess I could check to see how good. I remember I only had to remove one nut, but when watching a video it acted like there were more...my mind is drawing a blank.

A test light I definitely have. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.

Do you mean I should get this one?

Miihere, do you have an aftermarket steering wheel? After market will just unbolt. If its factory, ya might want to put some extra beer bicep on that center bolt.
If you are going to replace the pre assembled cam with connected wires, the wires SHOULD be color coded to your truck harness as well. Separate the plug and with a jewelers screw driver or ice pick (assuming your allowed to play with sharp objects...) in the plug going to the cam there is a "tang" that you'll press in and remove each individual wire.
You did the rad., this will be a cake walk.

Thanks for directing me to the right part!

It's not an aftermarket steering wheel, but it's zero wiggle to it sooo hopefully it's not going anywhere.

Ha. Sharp objects yes, fire no. (:

I found a couple videos online so I think I have got the idea. Radiator seems much easier than this.

I went out and had a look and it doesn't look like the whole turn signal cam with wires was replaced. The ones in there now look a bit worse for wear.

I was also going to buy the new connector for this reason. Is this the right connector for the cam:

I bought that DC switch a few years ago and the pins were too big to fit into the harness plug so I had to just connect them without the plug. If you buy that thing let me know if the pins fit the plug.

And it was the new DC switch that had the terminals touching one another.

I most certainly will. I have to go out of town so it will be a week or so. I'm still going to check the terminals on the current one.

Did you buy the new plug for it and the pins didn't fit? Or you mean the pins didn't fit the plug you already had?
