I don't think you should be thankful of this. The steering wheel should not come out pretty easy. Every time I take mine out and put it back in I need a puller to get it back out.
Am I right on this guys or am I tightening mine too much when putting it back?
The area you want to look at is between the "WINDSHIELD WIPER & WASHER SWITCH" and the "IGNITION SWITCH" that's the turnsignals. I don't know why it's not labeled. For the brake lights look for wires 810, 810A, 282, 283, 284.
The turn signal switch is wires in the column are 2, 3, 44, 5, 9 & 10
I how this helps.
If you turn on the wipers and the horn blows, you've had too much beer.
Haha. I'm gonna need less beer to follow these instructions!

That's what I thought too, but I mentioned this once before and someone called me lucky.
Ha. Well, the steering wheel is definitely on there good. Though I guess I could check to see how good. I remember I only had to remove one nut, but when watching a video it acted like there were more...my mind is drawing a blank.
A test light I definitely have. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
While that would be ideal, his shop is about 40 minutes away and I would undoubtedly be pulled over half a dozen times. Not to mention he's also the one that couldn't diagnose my overheating issue and without even looking at it you all did it via online!
Miihere, do you have an aftermarket steering wheel? After market will just unbolt. If its factory, ya might want to put some extra beer bicep on that center bolt.
If you are going to replace the pre assembled cam with connected wires, the wires SHOULD be color coded to your truck harness as well. Separate the plug and with a jewelers screw driver or ice pick (assuming your allowed to play with sharp objects...) in the plug going to the cam there is a "tang" that you'll press in and remove each individual wire.
You did the rad., this will be a cake walk.
I bought that DC switch a few years ago and the pins were too big to fit into the harness plug so I had to just connect them without the plug. If you buy that thing let me know if the pins fit the plug.
And it was the new DC switch that had the terminals touching one another.
