2016 bed on a 2001?

2016 bed on a 2001?
Sounds like the 2016 beds are made out of aluminum and are redesigned? Anyone know if they can be made to work on a 2001 F350 as easily as previous beds? I have an option to get a new take off for a good price and my 01 bed is shot.

There was lots of talk of the redesign being for 2016, but that was pushed back. I would be surprised if the next generation box would fit on your frame though. The different materials alone would make it very different structurally.
Would be a neat conversion though. Give it a shot in a year or so.

No it's not special you have an F150. The super duty has not gone to the aluminum body yet.
