Hi everyone so I have a 2002 Ford Excursion limited with 189,000 no mods other than 285 tires instead of the 265's that were stock.
The other day I just started on the on ramp to the interstate and I blew out one of the spark plugs on the passenger side I put another plug back in it about two threads was all I could get but it got me 150 miles home I'm looking for a tool to tap out the hole so I can get it back in all the way or even a heal a coil to install buy what is the best one to get and ware I looked on ebay anf o rieleys they don't say that they fit my truck they are just a kit and I don't want to get the wrong one. Any help would be grate
For those with the same problem doing a srich time Sert seems to be the best and every ware I look it's the same price $409 let me know if you know of them cheeper
I had one blow out on my 2003 a couple of my months ago. Local shop did the repair for quite a bit less than $409. They claimed to have done a ton of these and they highly suggested (and used) the Timesert. No problems at all since they fixed it.
