I JUST BOUGHT A 1989 F-250 HD 4X4. THE AXEL CODE IS 25 WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? ALSO IT HAS A BORG WARNER TRANSFERCASE "13-56", THE TRANSFER IS BLOWN ARE THEY GOOD TRANSFERS OR SHOULD I SWITCH TO ANOTHER ONE? IF THEY ARE GOOD TRANSFERS (WHICH IT IS FORD SO I'M SURE THEY ARE) THEN WHERE CAN I FIND ONE OF THESE AND WHAT DO THEY USUALLY RUN? THE TRUCK HAS THE STERLING 10.25 REAR WITH 4.10 GEARS AND A 5.0L V-8. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE----- JOE

The transfer case is good, strong unit. Check any junkyards around...they were used in F-series and broncos from atleast 88 to 96 if not more, there are tons of those transfer cases around.
