Camper build
I'll be doing some remodeling as well. I have an old 20' flat bed trailer laying around, and I am going to build boxes on either side of the trailer in the front (where the bed rails would be on a truck) to cradle the camper in. The boxes will serve a few purposes; aside from camper mounts they will provide tool boxes, and one a fuel transfer tank for the toys and generator when camping.
I will have the front of the camper (where it over hangs the cab of the truck) over hang the tongue of the trailer. Due to its clearance I wont have to worry about jack knife when turning. The back of the trailer will be used to haul my trail rig, or ATV.
What do you all think?
Here is a picture of the trailer. Sorry it isn't a good one, but I don't have any better on hand.
Man those trailer tires look tiny.Too bad you're not closer to us, we could use one of those camper jacks. Like yours, our slide-in has 2 jacks on one side and only one on the other. I hate putting it on and taking it off the truck, especially our dually.

The front axle sheared a hub clean off. I have little 3,500 lb axles under it now. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea to get some higher rated axles. The trailer is set up to tandem pull trailers as well, but I dont think I will ever need to lol
I could be completely wrong with my concept of the matter, but for someone who knows little about fabric it seams like a great idea.
Here is a before picture, and when I get it done I'll put up an after picture.

This is not the finished product, but to give you an idea of what it will look like when its done here is a pic:
