ball joints

Can't believe it. I have a 97 F-250 HD CC 4x4 with only 52000 miles. Never seen mud kept very clean. No hard driving only highway. Was very surprised to see the front tires sitting at an angle. Then to check and find worn ball joints just got me. I thought that a truck built that tough would hold up but now I am finding out several people are having the same problem. Any suggestions on what kind of ball joints to replace these with, that might last??

I don't know about your's, but a lot of the Ford factory ball joints don't have grease fittings. I would certainly suggest any ball joint that has a grease fitting.

I had my joints replaced under extended warranty at 70,000. On hindsight, they had been making a little clicking bump since probably 50,000.

I'm looking at MOOG joints with grease fittings think they are about the best for this application. Or at least I have been told.

Ball joints with grease fittings are great, if you properly maintain them and grease them regularly. If not the Sealed ones will actually last longer.
