'04 that I recently purchased has no cat and no muffler. Exhaust exits just past rear door in front of the rear tire. Sounds like a jet which I don't prefer. Also have heard that with no back pressure (muffler) I'm losing HP. Would like to extend back to the rear or the truck. Any suggestions or comments?

Back pressure would be more of a concern on a gasser. The turbo will provide enough to not cause any harm or power loss.
Your local muffler shop should be able to put it where you want it for relatively cheap.
