I have a good cab from a 1964 f100 and a flareside bed from a 1961 f100. I am planning to mount them on the frame from a 1997 AWD 5.0 Mercury Mountaineer.
The plan was to use no computer controlled components on this truck. I have a carb'd 302 I have built.
Now I am trying to figure out what would be a good trans/transfer case option with no electronics. The motor should make just under 400 crank hp.
I have considered using the trans thats in the mountaineer now and swap to a BW4406 tcase because I can use driveshafts from an f150 and expedition to avoid making custom shafts.
