Seat Upholstry Pattern Making

I'm interested in upholstring my own seats. I will be building up from the springs. There wasn't enough fabric left to save. Does anyone have a source for pattern making instructions?
I have found most info regarding building the foam padding, but need a little more detailed info on laying out the pattern after the foam and Dacron is applied.
Thank you in advance.

Can't help with the pattern question. What I can tell you is that the DIY covers from Mac's/Cartouche are good quality and may be worth a look for the time savings alone. Good luck with your search.

Lots of videos out there on upholstery...not sure about "patterns" as most of the videos I have seen show the upholsterer laying out the fabric directly onto the foam and working from there. Seems like the shape of the foam dictates how the fabric is cut/sewn. Good luck...

Thanks all, I have looked at quite a few videos and they leave out this part. I think I will wonder into a local shop and see if they will help answer my questions.

I cant give you much advice for sizing but I know that people use a grease pen (looks like a crayon) to trace the patterns they need.

I want to redo my seat with football material (Lexus had something like that in the LS600HL)
