FE engines introduced in 1958 Ford cars (332/352) which included Thunderbird (352); Edsel (361).
The Edsel 361 (installed in Rangers and Pacers) was a slight overbore of the 352. It was only used in 1958, as the '58 Edsel was soon referred to as the Deadsell!
FoMoCo expected to sell 200,000 1958 Edsel's, but only 64,110 were sold.
The Edsel Division was then folded into the L/M Division forming M-E-L and the two 1958 Edsel only engines were cancelled.
The other '58 Edsel only engine was the 410, installed in Corsairs and Citations, it was based off the Lincoln 430.
btw: FoMoCo never used the terms big and small block to describe any engines, these terms are GM "things."
