Ok I posted this up in the Excursion forum when I remembered we also have a transmission section. Posting here for advice..MODS if this is unacceptable please let me know.
Playing with Torque Pro App and some file logging to see if I can figure out my low boost and low mileage. Did a couple of WOT runs and yesterday got a transmission code, but I seem to have deleted it. Ran fine on the way home, ran around today with no problems. Get to work tonight and at idle sounds terrible. Kinda like a miss. Clears up when I rev it up. I also had a transmission seal leak that would rare its head every so often. Today puked out a good spot. I will check the fluids before I leave in the AM. Just looking for some suggestions on where to start? From some research I have found, it looks like the TC is crapping out on me. If that is the case can I just pull the tranny replace the seal, and TC and keep on trucking? or just rebuild the damn thing?
Here is a video that I shot. You can hear the engine clear up at around :27seconds...TIA!

Get that taken care of then look at the transmission. Never try to fix a trans problem when an engine problem exists. Often the trans problem is gone when the engine is fixed.
Well scratch that..not the tensioner or the pulley. However there is a lot of vibration in the belt when at idle. It is hard to hear on the video and the more I listen to it the worse it sounds. The rattle goes away at about 1k RPM, when I switch from P to D or R, but only momentarily. Fluid is clean and red. Here is another video..Thanks for the help.
Looks like there is alot of vibration in the crank pulley...causing the serpentine belt to dance around. Still stumped as to why the "vibration" goes away with increased RPM?
Pulled the tranny inspection cover...and damn. Sounds like a bunch of marbles loose in there and really loud. Can the TC start making noise and the rest of the tranny still be good to go?
New transmission rebuild and still making the same noise...new T/C, red eagle clutches, new pump, new seals, solenoids etc...Transmission shop is going to pull the tranny and see if the noise is still there. Any advice is very much appreciated.
