distributor is out (timing)
First take out #1 plug(front pass. side) and bump motor over till you feel woosh of air, stop and put piston at the top(you will see it thru hole), then check to see if timing pointer is at TDC. Now, check to see how close rotor is to #1 wire. Whatever way it is off, pull dist. and turn a small amout and re-insert and wiggle it till it makes it thru the cam gear and oil pump drive. Sometimes when you move it one tooth like that, the oil pump will not fit. That is okay, as long as cam is engaged, bump key and the dist. will turn and drop in.
