i hope some one can help. have a 1999 f250 SD 5.4 with 5 speed stick. it died on me friday and will not start or even crank. prior to this happening, it was always kind of hard to start but never left me stranded. the radio also hardly worked and cruise control also did not work. I have a set of Ford service tech books i am using to try and chase this down, but having trouble. I have power to starter from battery but no power to starter from starter relay. i only am getting 4 volts to starter relay from circuit 325 the orange and blue wire. however resistance between relay and clutch switch (circuit 325)is ok. Resistance on all wires from clutch switch is 100%, almost like its been cut from the system. actual clutch switch is new. i tried to jump terminal 1 and two and 5 and 6 but nothing. power from inside cab fuse box to clutch switch is zero. power from terminal 20 (50a)under hood is ok. resistance from terminal 20 (50a) to ignition switch green/purple wire is ok. resistance from terminal 20 to ignition switch red/blue is 100%. Resistance from ignition green/purple to ground is ok, but resistance from ignition red/blue to ground is bad. there are no blown fuses and all relays seem to be working. I cant see any damage to any of the wires and all grounds seem ok. i know im missing some stuff i cant think of now. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
