I would keep a look at e-bay and craigslist. Also check for a local ford club and spread the word with them. Look for a used auto parts yard locally or on the web. Some of them have web sites to try and track down parts.
Thanks for the reply wasn't able to find one at a salvage yard but was able to find a shop that could rebuild it parts for that tranny.was told that they are getting hard to find the bad part was the 1000.00 to rebuild it.
There's a self service salvage yard near me and there's a '61 F350 that had a T-98 in it. I didn't take the tranny but I wanted the bellhousing. 4 speed 223 bellhousings are not easy to come by.
My former employer had a bunch of these back in the 70s (I ended up buying a '58 and later a '62 F600) The biggest problem they had was the trans jumping out of 3rd gear if you let off the gas. Fortuantely the two I had didn't. Great and fun trucks.
