Acceleration shudder

Does anyone else have the shudder under acceleration issue? With or w/o trailer.

Also check the carrier bearing and make sure the splines on the driveshaft are greased, that alone will do funny things if the shaft cannot move freely at the splines.

After $716 worth of parts and labor at the dealership I now have shudder-free acceleration on Friday.... but today after a turn and a moderate acceleration lots of blue-white smoke and the engine shuddered like crazy. I've now transferred from one shudder to another. Not raining and about 77*. I don't dare ask what next...

What did the $716 go towards at the dealer? U-joints? Carrier bearing? something else?

,

All the above. U-joints and carrier bearing. I believe the smokey shudder was from moisture built up in the intercooler. No other leaks I could detect and it isn't doing it now since we have 100+ temps and low humidity.

Apparently it's fixed 'cause the shudders is gone! I'll be pulling my 5er to Mobile in a couple of weeks so we'll see how it does towing about 13k.
