I bragged too soon on my p.o.s.
Worked fricking awesome for a day....
All of a sudden BAM hot air out the vents, compressor is kicking on and running but it seems there is a clog or something not letting the freon run freely through the lines and condenser. I replaced the orifice and there was no shortage of oil mixed with shavings from original compressor in the line clogging the tube. Blew out condenser and dryer and new orifice and she did fine, maybe remnants of gunk made its way through the lines and clogged it up again?
I was going to mention replacing the dryer while you were at it but you already had it back together by the time I saw this and hoped you would get lucky. It is generally recommended to replace the dryer anytime the AC system is opened since it's virtually impossible to completely clean.... I would guess that is where your problem is coming from now.
My truck did this complete ice to fire air.after a long search I realized it was the switch on dash,it had forgotten its job,I had to reset this switch by turning it all the way to hot position for 5 mins, than all the way to cold for 5mins,after 2 cycles of this m,BAM my AC was ice cold again,,,truly magic
