Update from the homestead. I ordered about 350 bucks worth of parts! Lol. 3" dp, 6637 intake picked up my gauges and ordered a pod, new pillar trim, got the dash going in cleaned behind it too... blue dash lights coming also blue for the gauges... triple boot set to replace my red one, new o-rings so I can clean and work the turbo aND remove the ebpv...
Well, little update just working on the wiring. Got the radio wired back up. New battery terminals... some questions have arisen though. On the passenger side positive terminal. Anyone ever replace that battery clamp? And if so with what? Also where are people put to g there boost and EGT probes at?

EGT would go in the drivers side manifold. I did mine from under the truck because it was easy access. For me, boost went in the Y pipe...just drill and tap...pretty simple.

You need a "flag terminal", something like this - NAPA AUTO PARTS .
Some folks like the marine/military style terminal, where they can stack several wires with ring terminals on a separate stud. Versatile/flexible, and "military" sounds very rugged, but it's an extra connection point, an extra place where corrosion can occur. No direct experience myself, but I'd prefer as direct a connection from the wire to the battery post as possible.
Other option is a complete pre-built replacement cable.
Well update. Gothe my dash put back together. Other than a few parts, which I'm replacing anyway. Either way, I've read on here that the original wiring harness is pretty strapped for power, aka easy to overload. I'm going to have to keep my truck since I cannot find a cc. Anyway. Where can I tap into the wiring harness to power my new 4 gauges, or how can I safely wire them all in? I'm going to run a 10 GA ground and power instead of trying to tap those. And on a manual switch for all 4.
Just run them into the fuse panel. There should be pretty comprehensive instructions on which wires go where and how they need to be powered. We all do them that way with no issues. You should not neeed to tap into the wiring harness itself.
Like just plug them in with the fuse? I'm not sure I understand? And as far as instructions? Well I got them used off CL so yea lol
Oh, um,well I think their website will have install instruction you can view or print. It will explain what each wire needs. It will need a constant source, a key-on source, and a ground if I remember correctly.
Well update and frustration. I have the yellow (constant power) going straight to the battery. The orange I have combined but not plugged in right now. And the black going straight to the negative battery post. Right. I have some add-a-power fuses from the parts store, and no matter where, or what way I plug them in, I get nothing. Can someone shed some light? I'm no novice to wiring but I don't understand how they aren't working...
More updates, they'really installed! All of em but the boost gauge. It didn't make it past wiring portion... WHY WOULD YOU PUT PLUGS ON ALL OF THEMY BUT THE TURBO GAUGE!?!? Vent over. The colors are cool but I wired them up to separate switch tucked away in the lower trim cubby hole. The 3 that did make it work flawlessly. How acurate are they?
Edit: Since I now have my gauges done, along with a 3" DP, 6637 filter, riffraff intake boots and new turbo pedistal o rings and ebpv delete, my next quest is suspension. Since I use this truck to tow with, and drive daily, what is the best all around springs front and back with shocks?

Reason: More Questions.
Or no response cool... anyway I've tried looking for wiring diagrams on here but it just brings up threads of people's projects... I have the factory towing option with the plugs in the cab and at the rear of the truck. I have the 2 plug 7 wires, but I cannot tell what they go to as they were cut and someone stole the end connector. So I need help there... Also there I'd a box under the hood next to the fuse panel with a stray white wire going nowhere. Any ideas?
I've only got airbags in the front with stock springs so far and I'm happy with them. Rear air bags are next on the list.
About wiring diagrams, somewhere I got a digital shop manual (maybe from ebay). It takes time to pore over the wiring diagrams but I think it's the only real way to avoid guess work and blown fuses.
