engine rebuild question

I have a 1970 1/2 ton with a 390 and I was wondering which way the heater hoses hook up to the heater core from the engine and if there is a wrong way?

Out the intake to the heater, out the heater through the control valver and in the pump.

Doesn't really matter which hose goes where. They'll work the same either way.

I don't think it matters...
But I always ran it like he said.
The one from the water pump, I put to the "left" inlet on the box, and the one on the intake went to the one on the "right"
That way you don't have crossing hoses, and it looks better.

Water should go in the bottom and come out the top, this fills the heater core and helps to stop air pockets.
