built 302 vs 351

built 302 vs 351

which would make more power a 302 with new heads with a 63cc chamber and a mild cam or a stock mid 90's 351 roller?

I have a 302 with gt-40 heads on it and have a 9:5 comrpession ratio. and want to either put in a larger flat tappet cam

or just swap in a 351 and bolt on the gt-40 heads on it ?

which would make more power a 302 cammed and heads
or a 351 with just the heads ?

thinking about motor work for the winte

The 302 with a cam and heads will make more peak HP but the 351 makes more low rpm torque so in a heavy vehicle like a truck it will be faster accelerating. I had both motors(similarly equipped) in my '90 F150 and the 351 was 3 seconds faster 0-60.

right now i get to 60 in just under 7 sec. but I bought some hoosier slicks and need to go test it again to see what she has when ever it sticks better.
