I thought I would share what an awesome towing machine the 2015 F350 super duty is. Over the 4th of July weekend, the bride her cousin and I went camping in mammoth lakes, Ca. If anyone knows Hwy 395 north of Bishop, they know there is a steep 8% grade for about 8 miles. We were full of water 104 gallons in the 5ver, food for 4 days, clothes, camping equipment, Honda 3000 generator in the truck, ice chests = 2 and 3 in the cab. I figured we were about 14750-15200 in weight. Definitely near the max weight of the truck. She locked herself in 4th gear at 60 mph and never burped all the way up the grade. My old 2012 Ram 3500 would down shift and up shift all the way up the same grade pulling the same load.

sounds like a great time. What is the GCVWR of your truck and trailer?
I haven't done an official weight. The 5ver dry is 13174. it's 41 foot. So figuring 830 pounds water, around 750-900 pounds in other weight, and 8000 for the truck we are right around 23000.
I know that grade very well. Actually that grade it what made me trade-in my 2013 6.2L for a 2014 6.7L. Nice to hear the 6.7L handles it with ease. Haven't had a chance to pull the fiver up that grade with the new truck.
Here are some more images of the truck and 5ver. I guess I should have mentioned the 5ver. its a 2013 Heartland Landmark Key Largo, 3 slides, 7000# Dexter axels, island kitchen, fireplace, King Bed, dual whisper quiet 15k air / heat units, large shower, auto leveling system, 12 gallon water heater (nice for showers), outdoor entertainment system (32" flat screen and Stereo system) 50 inch Flat screen living area, 32" flat screen bedroom. dual pane tinted glass, and generator prep. It's more like a condo on wheels. I originally purchased it to travel across the US but that's on hold for another 4.5 years (Retirement). So what's the moral of this story? the new 6.7 with 440 HP and 860 Torque does exactly has promised. By the way, 7.8 mph pulling the grade and 13.6 mph on flat land pulling the 5ver. Have fun out there...
That's awesome Robert, thanks. My retirement is 6 years away, but we'll be in the market for a fiver in the next few years so I'll have to give that landmark a look see. See you on the road!
The trailer certainly looks "right" behind that truck. Great package. Glad truck is performing as advertised too! Mine only has the measly 400/800 and I tow a bit more than your weight regularly and I'm still amazed at how well it does...
