Aluminess bumper?

Anyone have an Aluminess bumper?

Looking at getting a set of front and rear.
Looking to get a testimonial before I spend more on accessories than I paid for my Excursion in the beginning.

I have an Aluminess rear bumper (spare tire and cargo box swings) on my 2005 Ex. Well made and good support if you need anything. A lot of Ford 4x4 Econoline Sportsmobiles use Aluminess bumpers so it might be worth asking those folks also as the Superduty design is very similar.

I saw a few. Wanted one till I saw the price. My main issue with them is that I'm betting a big deer or elk would leave them damaged. The aluminum isn't that thick and aluminum is pretty soft compared to steel.

I love the design and functionality of the rears they make. Stuck deciding between them and the Ruenel with similar functions, but like the lighter weight and corrosion/rust problem solved by the Aluminess for sure.

They look nice, and the nice part about the aluminum is they would be lighter. That price is what drives me away from it.

That rear bumper with the extra storage looks pretty awesome!
