Hello From Long Island!
Hi all! My name is Erik. I have just recently purchased my 5th ford truck, a 1948 F5. My daily driver is a 2012 F150 Ecoboost. Others I've owned were a 70 F250 Camper Special, 04 F150 and an 08 F150. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about this F5. The flathead 8 is long gone, and what sits there in its place is what I believe to be a 292. Won't know for sure until I get some time to research it. Plan is to yank the non-running V8 and install a 4-53t DD. Also have an Eaton 5spd out of a 95 Ford 9000 COE. It will take some work, but should be fun! Anyway, hope to make some friends here, and will be asking plenty of questions. Thanks for having me!
