Question, not Ford specific.
Jeep mainly for hunting though he drives it around a lot. At least he used to.
He just likes it.
The battery died and it has sat in his driveway for over 2 years collecting rain, dirt, and lots of south GA ultraviolet rays. I guess he doesn't like to drive it so much as to buy and install a battery.
Anyway he is of the opinion that all he needs to do is install new battery and start driving again. I worry that after two years of just sitting he needs to do something additional to avoid harming engine/drive train. Like squirting oil into the cylinders or turning it over a few time passively to lube it up a bit.
So tell me oh ye experts, what should be done?
My guess is there's nothing to be overly concerned about---can't hurt to at least give it one try.

I would check the air filter for varmits....
Jeep is just sitting there with tires going to ruin along with other things while he continues to pay taxes, as well as insurance.
Owner is a great guy but also is one of the world's great procrastinators.

Hell some days I have a tough time getting ME on the move!
