I have about 30k on my 2011 and looking to get new tires, Its a DD and I tow a 15.5K 5th wheel regularly in the summer and it needs to be good in the snow.
Any recommendations that will fit the factory 20's.
Thanks
Jason
Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar. The best truck tires I've ever had. Good ride, quiet on the highway, and great winter traction. I can't say enough about them. I tow my 17-19k with them, plow with them, and daily drive with them. Just the best of all worlds...
Michelin LTX M/S2 LT275/65R20 tires. That's what I have on my truck. Way nicer than the other Michelin AT tires. The ride is smooth and quiet. I can't speak for its performance in snow, since I run a set LT275/70R18 Avalanche Extreme snow tires on steel rims in the winter.
My 2011 just got a new set of 35 x 12.5 x 18 Toyo AT's. They are super quiet compared to the General's that I had previously, although I did get 60k miles out of them but I also went through three bearings. I only have a few miles on the new set of Toyo's but so far so good.
Cooper discoverer at3 are outstanding as well. If you have trouble getting your first choice, get these as your backup. I'd rate them similar to the wrangler Karl likes.
I just installed the Toyo AT 2s 295/65/20. I love them compared to my old Nitto Trail Grapplers of the same size. Maybe it's just the newness though. Much better road manners and 15 pounds lighter too. I can't tell you about snow performance, but this size is rated at 4,080 per tire at 80 psi. And I haven'tThe 295/65/20 is a 35 in tall tire and does not rub at all with stock wheels. Heres a pic.
I also highly recommend the Toyo tires like Glittle'sm, but are a little harder to find. The same tire is now installed on some of today's Super Duty's as well.
Im running Nitto Terra grappler MTs. Only have 4k on them but so far Im pretty happy with Them. Went with the same size tires that came with the truck 275/65/20. Lost a little MPG...
