What Steering Wheel?

I just bought a 1979 F100 Custom. It has the std wheel which I want to replace for something a tad thicker, a 15" wheel, all black preferably.. I see the Grant 1770 but no idea what kit to use (will call grant I guess Monday).
Anyone installed a Grant wheel and what kit did you use?

Cheers

This is what I have been installing on my builds,
Here is one (horn button removed) for one of my Broncos.:

Original ford sport wheel is a nice factory upgrade. Looks better than the grant imho. Bolt right in with no adapter. There are always a couple on eBay. Usually sell between 80-160. They also come in all black.

Great price but I prefer the grant tbh, like a nice new wheel. The one in my BMW is kinda worn and it bugs the crap outa me.

Sometime in the 80's the Ford vans came with a pretty fat wheel and has a good texture to it.

Be careful with the choice of Grant wheel you get. I got this one two months ago. First day of 80* weather with the windows up, the wood tried to straighten out. Leaving me with a nice 1/8" finger scratcher. After calling GT Grant (made in Mexico btw), they told me to send it back to who I bought it from and that it was not there problem. The company I bought it front wants me to send it back then they will send me a new one. Meanwhile, I have no steering wheel. If I could do it all over again, I would have gotten a different wheel.

I used to use various Momo wheels for VW & Audi builds a while ago...AWESOME to see one in a truck! How is it working out, as far as diameter & such?

My '69 F100 originally just had its fixed column and a big 17" steering wheel and no power steering.

I swapped in the tilt column and added power steering. With that, I didn't need a big 17" steering wheel anymore and I chose this steering wheel to be able to add the cruise control switches. ('89 Saleen Mustang CC bracket and switches).

3 inches difference in steering wheel diameters is much nicer (more room between the steering wheel and the tops of my legs), plus the addition of tilt.

The Momo steering wheel is a lot more comfortable to grip than the old, skinny steering wheel.
