Help asap

Need your help to find out if I'm being "bull ahi...". Is this the right driveshaft for a 76 highboy. This CV joint doesn't look right to me .. Please let me know looking for a definitive yes or no. Let me know I you need more info.

Looks correct to me but that is not a CV Joint. That is a slip union all 3 highboy drive shafts have them.

Thanks a lot sorry wrong term calling it a Cv joint. Just wanted to check before I stir up a bees nest with spmwone.

X2 on yea that is commonly called a "slip yoke". And a CV (constant velocity) or a double cardan joint looks like a double u joint set up.

Hey 77&79 thanks for the pics. Just realized the wrong pic was uploaded. Here is what I'm talking about on the opposite end of the previous picture I sent This is for the front driveshaft atleast what PO is telling me. Let me know.

Yes that is a CV or double cardan joint in the 2nd pic, but I do think that a 76 should have one? My late model 77 has a married xfer case and a double cardan joint.

Just to confirm, you have a divorced or not bolted to the transmission transfer case, correct?

Mine is a divorced case.. Asking because this came with the truck and I ws told it is the one for it.. Trying to verify.. thx

Looking at the first parts blow-up, I see that CV joint, part numbered 4784.
