low temp
i have a 96 ranger with a 2.3 and a 5 spd manual it always stays in the lower part of the temp gauge i have changed the thermostat and it won't go above 1/4 of the gauge even on a 104 degree day in rush hour traffic it this normal or am i looking a gift horse in the mouth?

My 99 4.0L & 94 Taurus 3.8L have always been in the lower 1/3 of the temp scale. If your in doubt about true engine temp, hook up your low cost ELM scan tool & have it take a look at the Computer Engine temp sensor & see what its reporting.
