I have an 02 with the 6 disc changer. I'd like to swap it out for a unit with an aux or bluetooth imput. Will a later one plug right in or should I just look aftermarket?
The radios in my 01 Escape [Premium Sound with a sub in the rear], Ranger [6CD Changer MP3 non premium sound] and Superduty [6CD changer with Premium Sound] are all interchangeable. Plug and play. From what I understand, the 04 Superduty radios are different but I have not looked at one.
The 03 Superduty has a rebuilt 02 6CD Changer with AUX that replaced the original while in warranty.
The Superduty and Escape premium sound radios both have AUX inputs for IPODS that I installed. The Ranger doesn't have the capability to add AUX input for another source.
Let me know.......OR if anyone else has a clean, perfect working 6 disc unit they want to trade for mine WITH the AUX PORT let me know.......not sure where Nick has gone....
