yes they work correctly when running lights are off.I will check juction box again, with running lights on applying the brakes, brake lights work fine, turna signal and all 11 lights flash like I have hazards on.Same thing when I apply brakes and turn signal simultaneously.
Both of the fords Ive owned were notorious for ground problems...
eventually I went through and replaceed all Bulbs and sockets...a dab dielectric grease in each PLUS I had to add brass shims because the bulbs would wiggle just enough to occaisionly loose contact...
Went through and checked/replace all Fuses...some of them looked perfectly fine but the contact ends were loose and slipped off the glass tubes...
High/low beam switch was shorted out...I hit the switch...and the headlights would go out...temprorarily
Replace all the bulbs and socket for the instrument cluster as well...the plastic housing has dry rotted to the point the plastic just crumbles...repaired with some plastic stock from the hobby store...
...all is fine now but I experienced some of the same symptoms related here...(Although my turn signal switch is still good)
G'luck
yep i still think it is a ground issue, if they work fine when the running lights are off and don't work correctly when markers are on i would look for a bad ground or something in your running light wiring. check that junction box also, make sure you don't have any wires crossed or touching inside there. good luck
Update on my 78 Ranger, I checked junction box and all is well, I even unscrewed my dash enough to get my hand in there to see if there is something going on with headlight electronics,Everything looks to be ok. But I notice on acouple of fuses a brown faded ring around them and now after running my truck for awhile, then shutting it off the water in my battery is all over the place, like its rising up over the cells. I also noticed my brake was a little stuck and when it did stick my flashers wouldn't work. So I sprayed some penetrating spray to loosen up the pedal(its very rusty). I'm still back to square one and soon I'll be paying somebody on Thursday to find this problem exactly what I didn't want to do.I think there's a short circuit somewhere, who the f knows
