Lifters Exploded
Hey guys long time no see. Well many of you may or may not remember my 300 to 351 swap some time ago but I have a problem most people have never heard of and looking for an answer. Loaned my truck to son in law to pull his jeep to a mechanic for a clutch. Before he even got home with my truck and trailer all 8 lifters on the drivers side exploded. When I say exploded there was a pile of lifter pieces laying in the valley.
I have heard of 1 maybe doing this because of a manufacturing problem or something but I have never heard of all 8 on one side at the same or near the same time. Maybe in a racing engine with a massive shot of nitrous but never in a daily driver.
