390 install cost (have 360)?

How much would it cost to install a 390 given I have
a 360? The (truck) 390 would come from a junkyard--
said to "run well." My current 360 runs well but
probably needs a valve job (how much for that?)
Thanks,

Cost? It all depends on who you want to do it. It is a simple direct swap, so it would take more time to remove hood then put new motor in. If you had access to crane, a few simple tools and an afternoon you could do it yourself. 16 exhaust bolts, couple radiator hoses, some wires, 6 bellhousing bolts(plus clutch/convertor bolts) and two motor mounts.

Valve jobs are not cheap anymore either. Depending on how many pieces need replaced. Simple grind job, degrease and re-assembly will set you back probably $200+/-. If you have real problems, the cost will jump considerably.
