WooHoo

I know all of you gearheads can't imagine this, but after owning this auction truck for about 3 weeks now, I just figured out that it has arp studs. I was kinda suspecting that it's been tuned as well from the way it drives, but without brakes and steering, LOL, I haven't tested it out too much.

Being an 05, do you figure they replaced some other stuff while they were in there? Were the old EGR coolers still in the 05s?

You mean the square ones? EGR coolers are in every one of the 6.0's from the factory.

Sounds good. How many miles on the truck? Will you be needing advice on the brakes?

It has 171000. Don't know when the studs were installed.

I think I figured out my brakes just now. Posting a new thread about it.

I don't know what they look like, I just read that the early model coolers were weak and they got upgraded, I think, in '05 models.

The other way around. 03-04.25 had the round EGR coolers that were better. The later model square ones are the crappy ones.

Well, that sucks. seems like I saw a chart somewhere that showed when upgrades came out by VIN number. Maybe I missed the new ones by a nose.

Keep the coolant fresh and clean and watch for symptoms of steam coming out the exhaust.
