Anyone have any suggestions as to where I could buy a good used hood? Mine has the usual front lip cancer and I can't seem to find any patch panels to repair it with. So I guess I'll have to buy a used one. Any suggestions? Or where I can get a new one?
Thank you
You should put where you live at in the message. Your location should also be,... look where mine is at.
Anyone including myself could say "Yeah I have one, I'm in So. Cal. are you going to pick it up or pay freight charge?"
s you know I'm in So. Cal. and your in Florida. join your local chapter and see if anyone can help you.

Check the junk yards. Finding a good hood will be a crap shoot but mine had the same cancer yours has so I bought a caved in hood for 15 dollars that had no cancer and cut the part out that I needed for my hood and welded it in. Also used other metal from the bad hood for other patch pieces on the box behind the wheel wells.
May be surprised and find a quality auto body person who can make the repair cheaper than the cost fora used replacement. A friend who restores vintage vehicles referred me to a auto body person who could work miracles, and at a very reasonable price. For a source suggest check with member in local Chapter, and/or, attending auto swap meets and talking w/ fellow enthusiast can be productive.
Purchased a hood for my 65 by setting up daily ebay notices for 61-66 Ford truck parts then narrowed the search to a distance I was willing to travel to pick the item up. Within a week or so I noticed where 2-3 sellers appeared to be parting out the truck so I emailed and found 1 of them had a hood. Anyhow, food for thought?
