6.2 fuel filter?

I have a 2011 f350 with a 6.2, I can't find any info on a fuel filter for this truck. Is there a fuel filter on it?, or just one in the tank on the pump?

Thanks for any input

I do believe its just the sock on the pump. No changeable filter.
I don't agree with this logic??? money saving not sure the reason

^^^^^Isn't that the 6.7l filter?

Looks like a "Lifetime Fuel Filter" on the 6.2l, aka Ford wanted to save a few bucks. When I change a fuel filter I like to shake them up good with the fuel inside and dump them out in a clear container.(dump out the inlet) even with as little as 10k miles through a filter the amount of real fine dirt is surprising.

My understanding is, the fuel filter on a 6.2L is a life-time non-serviceable filter that is permanently sealed into the fuel tank according to my owners manual. And, the only way to get a new fuel filter, is to buy a new fuel tank.

Can't say I'm a fan of that design either. Even if it will last a lifetime I prefer easy access and the ability to replace it cheaply.

I don't like the idea of that. I guess time will tell!

6.2 fuel filter?

There is no need to replace the tank filters. Your pump is going to fail before the filter plugs up

That's like saying you want easy access to replace the connecting rods....

A few years ago I purchased a 2015 F350 supercab with the 6.2L engine. I am the second owner.

The previous owner installed a Ford OEM in-line fuel filter, the same filter I have on my 2002 F350 with the 6.8L V10.

No idea why the previous owner installed an OEM external fuel filter on the 2015 F350, but he did, and I change the filter on occasion.

This filter?

Looks like FORD uses this filter on a lot of different engines, up to the 6.8L

Yes, that is the filter the original owner installed.
