thats not the filter if you talking about that thing on the framerail, this is your fuel pump.
unless you have aftermarket filter , than depending on the fuel quality you get,
you have filter but its on the top of the engine, under Poerstroke cover. the round plastic lid, thats where your filter is.chenge it every 10k miles , or so.

The filter you're looking at. Does it have wires attached to the front side of it? Like Pete said, the fuel pump is similar in size & shape to the fuel filters on the gas motors. They even mounted it in the same location.
