Time for a new carb?

Hey guys I've got a few questions about the 2 barrel carb on my 292. I recently rebuilt it and the truck ran great for awhile (2 weeks or so) but now I'm having problems. It seems to be flooding itself out whenever it sits.

I can drain the carb and then it drives great for the day and the next morning it won't run, what would cause this? It all started when I threw the belt on the way to school a few weeks ago and I've had trouble since.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I would make sure the tank is clean. If the tank is dirty all other fuel system work is for naught.
Sometimes it takes several assembly and reassembly sessions to get it right. Make sure you used a quality kit. Make sure all the small passages are truly clean.

Sounds like floats need to be adjusted...maybe they are stuck. Try tapping the side of the carb lightly with a driver handle....sometimes you get lucky.

I say double filter the gasoline going in and clean your needle and seat..The right conditions will make a brand new one run like garbage
