Has not been as cold as I thought is should be and is would quit blowing cold air occasionally when on Max A/C. If I turned it to regular A/C or lowered fan speed the cold air would return. Had it serviced and they replaced a hose, orifice, A/C manifold, and recharged. Much colder now but still get the occasional stoppage of air flow.
air is being diverted to the defroster for a few seconds then it diverts to floor/heater vents. If this is an indication of vacuum leak what is the best way to track it down. Probably the original vacuum lines. Would it be easier to just change them all out and the check valve?

The first one to check when this happens, is the white vacuum line right on top of the A/C box under the hood....
Diverting to the defrost position for air flow is a safety measure, to keep the windows clear in cold weather even if there is a problem.. It's all about seeing!!!
thanks white97xlt. White vacuum tube is disintegrating. What is the best way to fix this? I hope the line inside the plastic cover leading to firewall is not in bad shape. If it is in good condition can I just splice it? Looks like I need pull it out of the protective wrap and look for a good section to connect to. Can I just cut it and use a larger diameter line to slide over the white line?
