2001 ford escape v6

I have a 2001 ford escape v6 the engine light is on and when advancs pulled a code it came back egr valve is sticking and #2 is not fireing.. I have a 2002 v6 parts car that I ran hot I took both parts off and put on my 01 buts its still running the same.. anybody knows anything on this.

What parts did you move?
Plug and coil, just plug, just coil.
EGR valve or EGR valve solenoid?

I was getting an EGR error but it was the solenoid and not the valve. Actually the ground wire to the solenoid had come loose in the plug.

I replaced the #2 plug, coil and egr valve with used ones off my parts car

I switched the EGR solenoid from parts car and still runs same.

Go back to the parts place and have your codes re-read; write down the codes and then Google them unless you have access to AllData or the factory service manuals which give you step-by-step procedures to further diagnose the issues.

Diagnosing the EGR will take a little time. You will have to see if you are getting signal to the solenoid.
Cylinder 2 misfire could still be a bad coil. Swap it with a known good one that is already on your vehicle and see if the code follows the coil.
