drivers side injectors dead

drivers side injectors dead

97 f350 ts chip straight piped and 6637. Was running fine when I parked it last night and started it this morn and is running very rough and check engine light is on. When I unplug the valve cover harness plugs on the drivers side nothing changes but, the passenger side both will make a change. Any ideas? Tia.

Mine started running rough and only one side of the motor was running it turned out to be my idm. Once that was replaced all was well. Can't say that's your problem but that's what happened to me.

Did it rain over night? My IDM got wet and only ran on the back 4 cylinders. New (to me) IDM and now it purrs like a knocking kitten lol

Are the harnesses on the drivers side melted, or the pins burned? The IDM can shut one bank down to prevent damage to itself from damaged wiring. You might want to pull the valve cover and check the UVC harness to the glows, and injectors for damage, as that can cause the shut down of that bank.

I put a new uvhc on that side and its the same one of the glow plug pins did short a few months ago but I unhooked the glow plug relay and its been running fine until this morning I drove it last night and got in it this morn to leave and it was like it is now as soon as I started it.
