OEM Replacement Mirror

As with almost all of our trucks, the interior rear view mirror in mine was no longer clear. I ordered a Ford replacement from NPD. The part number is F2AZ-17700-A. It was said to be an 11 inch mirror. It is only 10.25 inches at the widest point. It is also not shaped the same as the stock mirror. The stock mirror was straight across and straight on the sides. This one is bowed at the top and angled on the sides. I'm not really a fan of this style, but might be being too picky. Is this the best I am going to be able to find?

I think I am going to return it. Has anyone gotten a newer truck mirror? My buddy's Super Duty mirror is slightly wider than 11 inches. This should be alright. I've seen some 12 inch aftermarket replacements. That just seems too big. I know the generic 10 inch one I picked up is too small.

Get on that has auto dim, temp, compass, etc. on it.Probe goes in front of engine. It's great too! Kinda pricey, but get your family to give it to you for your birthday, etc. Also mirror with back up cam.

That's cool, but a bit pricey. I'm going to get an Explorer overhead console later. I'm just looking for a mirror like what came factory.

That looks like what I pulled from a late model (2000+) F or Expedition during my last JY trip. It has the same trapezoidal (?) angles & slightly smaller width-wise. Haven't put it on yet.

The one I currently have is the right shape, but is slightly smaller in width, and its too small to see well out of.

(Tried one of the Pep Boys "guaranteed exact" replacement ones- Took it back the SAME day- the plastic base allowed it to wobble a LOT, and it was larger without the proper shape...)

Those are the right style or shape. It says 8, 10, 12. I wonder if the 12 is too big.
