Any thoughts (weight, durability, etc.) on using Eagle H beam Rods 64903F3D or Falconglobal OE Rods BP143 as I'm rebuilding my 360 to 390 specs. I'm sticking with 3.49 rod length. (Falconglobal are a lot less expensive and rebuilt OE)
I'm open to other MFG, just can't spent whole budget on these.

I used a set of the Eagle H beams in a 390 build. Decent rods, but there was significant weight difference between each rod in the box. Not a big deal really, you should have your rotating assembly balanced anyways. I have pics somewhere...
Thanks guys, was just thinking if I could get a lighter rod(s) w/ possibly more strength @ a resonance cost might as well as its apart. Not going to get revved much as all the components for the build are going for torque. But still liked the idea of something a little lighter even if it may take away from inertia. But do like the lower cost of OE rebuilds.

?????
I'd look into putting dollars into the workmanship and attention to detail like dead-nuts balancing the entire rotating assembly, ported heads, ARP hardware, and a really good machinist.
